Are you passionate about making a positive impact on the lives of individuals with Autism Spectrum Condition (ASC)? We are currently seeking an enthusiastic and dedicated ASC Behaviour Support Assistant to join our team in Yeovil, Somerset.
Responsibilities:
- Provide individualised support to students with ASC, assisting with their social, emotional, and behavioural development
- Implement behaviour support plans and strategies to promote positive engagement and learning outcomes
- Support students in developing social skills, communication, and self-regulation
- Collaborate with teachers and other professionals to create a supportive and inclusive learning environment
- Assist with the assessment and monitoring of student progress, documenting observations and maintaining accurate records
- Establish positive relationships with students, fostering their overall well-being and sense of belonging.
Requirements:
- Previous experience working with individuals with ASC, preferably within an educational or support setting
- Sound knowledge of ASC and understanding of the associated challenges and interventions
- Excellent communication skills to effectively engage and build rapport with students and colleagues
- Patience, empathy, and the ability to adapt strategies to meet the individual needs of students
- A proactive and positive approach to supporting the well-being and development of students with ASC.
