As a Youth Mentor, you will play a pivotal role in supporting the emotional, social, and academic development of young people, including those with Social, Emotional, and Mental Health (SEMH) and Special Educational Needs (SEN), helping them overcome barriers and fulfil their potential.
Make a Difference Every Day
Connect with hard-to-reach young people through activities such as sports, music, dance, and more, offering positive guidance and crucial mentorship, becoming the role model they so desperately need.
Work with SEMH/SEN Students
Deliver tailored support to young people with Social, Emotional, and Mental Health (SEMH) and Special Educational Needs (SEN), ensuring each student’s unique needs are met with empathy and respect.
Create a Safe, Inclusive Environment
Encourage positive behaviour, helping students overcome emotional challenges and behave positively whether in or out the classroom.
Deliver Positive Behavioural Support
Utilise training in positive behaviour management to de-escalate challenging situations and cultivate resilience.
Comprehensive Training & Support
Free Level 2 Team Teach Training valued at £1,500, this qualification equips you with skills such as positive behaviour management, de-escalation techniques, and provide safe interventions.
Competitive Pay & Benefits
Earn between £109.50 – £120.00 per day (long-term assignments) based on experience and qualifications.
Travel Expenses
Receive £0.45 per mile for outreach travel, to support your work in the community.
Permanent Roles
Potential opportunities for permanent positions up to £32,000 per annum in schools partnering with Lexia.
