Your Responsibilities as a Youth Mentor

• Individualised Support
  Deliver tailored 1:1 and/or group mentoring for young people with Social, Emotional, and Mental Health (SEMH) and Special Educational Needs (SEN), helping them stay engaged and feel supported.
• Relationship Building
  Create strong, positive relationships with students to build trust, foster emotional safety, and encourage personal growth.
• Creative Engagement
  Lead meaningful and fun activities such as sport, music, drama, and art to connect with students and encourage self-expression.
• Emotional Regulation Support
  Help students understand and manage their emotions by teaching positive coping strategies and encouraging reflective thinking.
• Behaviour Guidance
  Use de-escalation techniques, including Team Teach strategies, to support calm, respectful behaviour and reinforce emotional resilience.
• Collaborative Approach
  Work alongside teachers, SENCOs, and other professionals to ensure students receive well-rounded, consistent care and support.

• Full Training Provided
  Including Team Teach Level 2 Training (worth £1,500)
• Ongoing Professional Development
  Access to CPD and skill-building sessions

  Daily Pay Rates of £109.50 – £120, based on placement and experience
• Mileage Paid
  Receive £0.45 per mile for community-based work
• Permanent Roles
  Opportunities for Permanent School Roles – earn up to £32,000 annually
