Your Role as an SEN Specialist Tutor in Devon
- Specialist Tuition – Offering creative child-centered interventions, collaborating and working towards a personalised package of academic, interest-based and mentor focused support for learners with Special Educational Needs (SEN) and Social, Emotional and Mental Health Needs (SEMH).
- Creative Interventions – Use flexible strategies to improve engagement, build confidence, and develop social and emotional skills.
- Multi-Agency Working – Collaborate and communicate with families, professionals and the wider team, to promote the best interests of the child.
- Monitoring Progress – Record and report tangible examples of the students work, targets, and development throughout the provision.

SEN Specialist Tutor Job Requirements
- Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) – A recognised teaching qualification is required.
- Experience – At least 3 years of teaching/student support experience – experience working with SEN, SEMH learners is ideal but not essential.
- Commitment – A genuine passion and dedication to supporting vulnerable children and young people in need of your support.
- Communication Skills – Strong ability to engage effectively with students, families, and professionals.
