Are you a passionate advocate for youth development and sports? We are seeking a dynamic and dedicated Mentoring and Sports Development Officer to join our team in Bristol. This rewarding role offers a unique opportunity to make a positive impact on the lives of young people through mentoring and sports initiatives.

Responsibilities:

  • Coordinate and deliver mentoring programmes to support the personal and academic growth of young people.
  • Work closely with schools and community organisations to identify students who can benefit from mentoring.
  • Develop and maintain positive relationships with young people, providing guidance and support to help them achieve their goals.
  • Organise and lead sports activities and events, promoting physical fitness and teamwork among young participants.
  • Collaborate with other sports and youth development organisations to create impactful partnerships.
  • Conduct assessments to evaluate the effectiveness of mentoring and sports programs, making necessary improvements.
  • Inspire young people to develop their potential, confidence, and resilience through sports and mentorship.
  • Plan and implement workshops and training sessions to enhance young people’s life skills and sports abilities.

Requirements:

  • Previous experience in youth mentoring and/or sports development.
  • Strong understanding of youth development principles and best practices.
  • Excellent communication and leadership skills to engage and motivate young people.
  • Passionate about promoting positive youth outcomes through mentoring and sports activities.
  • Ability to work collaboratively with diverse stakeholders to achieve common goals.
  • Sports coaching qualifications and relevant certifications are advantageous.
