Lexia Education Services is looking for a Youth Mentoring Support Worker to join our team in Bristol. As a support worker, you will be responsible for providing one-to-one support to students with SEMH needs, helping them to achieve their academic and personal goals. Your duties will include providing emotional support, behavioural management, and pastoral care.
Key responsibilities:
- Providing one-to-one support to students with SEMH needs
- Developing and implementing support plans to help students achieve their goals
- Providing emotional support, behavioural management and pastoral care
- Building positive relationships with students, parents/carers and other professionals
- Maintaining accurate records and reporting progress to senior staff
Requirements:
- Experience working with students with SEMH needs
- Good understanding of SEMH and its impact on learning
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Patience, empathy and a positive attitude
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
Free Team Teach positive behaviour management, de-escalation and physical intervention training will be provided for successful applicants.
