Deliver tailored support to young people with Special Educational Needs (SEN), ensuring each student’s unique needs are met with empathy and respect.
Your Role as a Therapy Mentor – Key Responsibilities
Provide Therapy Programmes
Commit to delivering therapy programmes under the guidance of an OT or SaLT, using your empathy and enthusiasm.
Track Students Progress
You will also assist in assessing pupils’ communication needs and functional skills, by tracking progress, providing resources, and contributing to improvement of the school’s communication and sensory environment.
Create an Inspiring Environment
Encourage motivating and inspiring behaviour, guiding students to improve their social and functional skills.
Mentor Pupils in Unique Settings
you will work directly with individual pupils or with groups, in Occupational Therapy (OT), Speech and Language Therapy (SaLT) and residential settings.
What We Offer You
Comprehensive Training & Support
Free Level 2 Team Teach Training valued at £1,500, this qualification equips you with skills such as positive behaviour management, de-escalation techniques, and provide safe interventions.
Competitive Pay & Benefits
Earn up to £145 per day (long-term assignments) based on experience and qualifications.
Travel Expenses
Receive £0.45 per mile for outreach travel, to support your work in the community.
Permanent Roles
Potential opportunities for permanent positions up to £32,000 per annum in schools partnering with Lexia.
