As an SEN Tutor in Somerset, you will play a crucial role in delivering specialised educational support to students in need of an “Alternative Education Provision”
Our tutors focus on creating and implementing tailored education plans designed to address the unique needs of each student.
You will provide personalised education packages for vulnerable young people who are unable to access suitable educational placements or have EHCPs. Many of these young learners face social, emotional, and mental health challenges, making it essential for our tutors to approach each session with empathy, patience, and a deep understanding of their individual circumstances.
Your sessions will be designed to encourage a supportive and motivating learning atmosphere that not only enhances academic skills but also boosts confidence and self-esteem. Sessions will often take place in the students’ homes or in local community settings, allowing for a flexible and adaptable approach to education.
Join Lexia’s community of SEN Tutors and be part of a team that is transforming the educational experiences of children educated outside of traditional school settings. We offer fully flexible opportunities, whether full-time or part-time, with earnings ranging from £30 to £35 per hour for each assignment.
*Qualified teacher status is required for this role.
If you’re passionate about making a meaningful impact and offering exceptional support to those who need it most, we’d love to hear from you.
