Position Overview:
We are looking for a passionate and dedicated Science and Technology Tutor to join our dynamic team in Yeovil. This role will focus on providing exceptional, engaging and innovative learning experiences for children while fostering an environment that promotes curiosity, creativity, and personal growth.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Deliver high-quality Science and Technology lessons that align with the national curriculum.
  • Adapt lesson plans to suit the unique learning needs of individual students.
  • Engage with students in a manner that instils a love for science and technology.
  • Use technology and hands-on experiments to bring complex scientific concepts to life.
  • Collaborate closely with our in-house behaviour support consultancy to ensure the best strategies are employed for every student.
  • Track and report student progress, and liaise with parents or guardians as necessary.
  • Attend professional development workshops and stay updated with the latest educational techniques and technologies.

Qualifications & Experience:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Science, Education, or a related field. A PGCE or equivalent teaching qualification is preferred.
  • Minimum of 3 years experience teaching Science and/or Technology to children.
  • Familiarity with the UK national curriculum.
  • Demonstrated ability to create interactive and engaging lesson plans.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • A genuine passion for alternative learning methods and a drive to make a difference in young lives.
  • Experience in working with children who may require behaviour support or special accommodations is a plus.
