Your Role as an Outreach Mentor: Key Responsibilities

As an Outreach Mentor at Lexia Education Services, you will:

  • Provide Pastoral Support: Build meaningful, trusting relationships with students, offering emotional and practical support to help them thrive both academically and socially.
  • Engage Students through Fun Activities: Lead a variety of extracurricular activities like sports, arts, and creative projects that inspire and connect students.
  • Foster a Safe, Inclusive Environment: Promote inclusivity and positive behaviour in the classroom by supporting students in overcoming mental health and emotional challenges.
  • Mentor Young People with SEN: Assist students with special educational needs, using tailored strategies to support their learning and well-being.
  • Deliver Positive Behavioural Support: Apply your training in positive behaviour management to prevent crises, de-escalate challenging situations, and support students in managing their emotions.

  • Daily Pay Range: Long-term Outreach Mentor assignments offer competitive pay between £110 and £120 per day, based on experience and qualifications.
  • Travel Expenses: Receive £0.45 per mile for travel, ensuring you’re supported no matter the distance.
  • Permanent Roles: For those seeking long-term growth, potential permanent positions can be given by schools working with Lexia up to £32,000 per annum.
