  • Provide support and guidance in areas such as reading, writing, mathematics, problem-solving, and study skills.
  • Develop and adapt instructional materials to accommodate diverse learning styles and abilities.
  • Incorporate assistive technology and educational tools to enhance learning experiences.
  • Foster a positive and inclusive learning environment, promoting confidence and self-esteem.
  • Monitor student progress, assess their performance, and provide regular feedback to students and their families.
  • Collaborate with teachers, parents, and other professionals to develop and implement strategies for student success.

Qualifications and Skills:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Education, Psychology, Special Education, or a related field. A higher degree is desirable.
  • Proven experience in tutoring or teaching students with diverse cognitive and learning needs.
  • In-depth knowledge of cognitive processes, learning difficulties, and educational interventions.
  • Familiarity with a range of learning support strategies, techniques, and resources.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills to establish rapport and build positive relationships with students, families, and colleagues.
  • Patience, empathy, and the ability to adapt teaching methods to meet individual student needs.
  • Excellent organisational and time management skills to plan and deliver effective tutoring sessions.
  • Flexibility to work with students of different age groups and academic levels.
  • A genuine passion for education, a positive attitude, and a commitment to student success.
  • Enhanced DBS (Disclosure and Barring Service) clearance or willingness to obtain one.
  • A valid driving license and access to transportation may be required.
